K Group Companies began in 1980 with the first company, Data Consultants, Inc. Mike Kuncaitis Sr. started Data Consultants, Inc. in order to bring his previous experience in mainframes, minis and corporate systems to the growing customers of PC and network systems using Novell, Unix and Microsoft. This technical consultant methodology is still in use within all of the K Group companies where there are a number of experienced senior account managers working to assist customers with the rapid advancements in technology. Data Consultants, Inc. began by working with products ranging from PC’s and mini's to mainframes. The goal was to be inclusive of all the customer technology needs.

As the years went on, Data Consultants, Inc. started to receive many favorable referrals and had built many strong relationships with customers. That trend continues today. Our number one goal is to build strong and long-lasting relationships with our customers. We firmly believe in our saying, "Long after price is forgotten, service is remembered." This mentality usually results in “customers for life,” as our business grows primarily by your referrals and constant feedback.

During the mid-to-late eighties, many companies experienced tremendous growth in PC networking areas.

To focus on and service this customer base more effectively, Mike Kuncaitis Sr. began working together with his wife, Elouise Kuncaitis, who had started a separate company called Standard Computer Systems, Inc. The purpose of Standard was - and still is - to service all the customer’s computer and office-related needs, not simply consult them.

K-Data Systems was later formed to handle data-center needs, which include high-speed internet connections, web development and hosting and, most recently, security and surveillance services. Evidenced by these trends, it was always Mike's goal to form individual companies. Remaining smaller units that work together as teams would allow each company to focus on and respond quickly to specific needs that customers may have.

Often, companies will try to supply "basic tech services" to customers. The goal of K Group Companies, however, is to provide "managed tech services". We consult, service and manage your company's needs.

In 2005, Tech Time, Inc. was formed in order to provide an area of K Group Companies that could focus on a specific need in the market. We wanted to be able to offer home users and small businesses affordable high-quality service while giving them a direct connection to contact our techs in a time of need.

Today, K Group Companies is still family-owned and operated by founders Mike Kuncaitis Sr., Elouise and their sons. In all we do, we strive to remain debt-free while being ever-ready to meet current and future changes quickly.
